Former Togolese Prime Minister Gilbert Fossoun Houngbo was elected to the post of Director General of the International Labor Organization (ILO) by the Governing Board composed of representatives of governments, workers and employers, during its meeting held this Friday, March 25 in Geneva. Current boss of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), which he has chaired since April 2017, the Togolese was in the running with four other candidates for the position.
