Old Mutual Investment Group (Omig) appointed a new investment analyst from the start of April, an Old Mutual spokesperson confirmed. The asset manager hired Sehrish Khan from Allan Gray, where she worked for over seven years, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Khan will be part of the Omig risk-managed team, which forms part of the customised solutions unit. In addition, she will work with and report to Omig portfolio manager Hanno Niehaus regarding work on Omig absolute return funds like Wealth Defender and the Old Mutual Dynamic Floor fund.

Omig’s absolute return multi-asset class solutions aim to achieve explicit capital protection and inflation-linked growth targets.

Khan has a bachelor of commerce and a post-graduate diploma in accounting from the University of Cape Town. She is also a chartered accountant and a chartered financial analyst registered with the CFA Institute.
