Algerian banks in Mauritania, Niger and Senegal

The first three major Algerian public banks will soon set up on the other side of the Sahara. Thus, the Crédit Populaire Algérien (CPA) will soon take up residence in Nouakchott, capital of Mauritania, while the External Bank of Algeria (BEA) will set up shop in Niamey (Niger).

As for the National Bank of Algeria (BNA), it will open a subsidiary in Dakar with the mission of supporting trade flows between Senegal and Algeria. Until then confined to their territories and their comfort zones, these public banks will have to take their marks very quickly given the desire of the Algerian authorities to make Africa a relay of
