Rabat - Air Arabia has announced the expansion of its flight services between Rabat and Agadir in Morocco to meet increasing demand.

The airline will be adding three new weekly flights to its schedule, effectively increasing the total number of connections between the two cities to seven per week.

The decision comes as part of Air Arabia’s ongoing strategy to boost its market offering in Morocco.

Responding to the demand from the Souss Massa region, the airline is set to boost its services between Rabat, the administrative and cultural capital of Morocco, and Agadir, a highly sought-after seaside destination.

Starting from May 1, 2024, flights will be scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and both business and leisure travelers will benefit from the expanded service.

The newly introduced flight schedule will see departures from Rabat at various times on these same days, with corresponding arrivals in Agadir and vice versa.

According to the airline, the increased frequency aims to meet the growing demand for travel between the two cities.

“Air Arabia expressed pride in strengthening the air links between Rabat and Agadir, emphasizing its commitment to providing accessible, comfortable, and high-quality air services,” the company said in a statement.

The statement continues; “The expansion aligns with the airline’s mission to promote the beauty and diversity of Morocco while facilitating seamless travel experiences for passengers.”

In recent months, a number of airlines announced expanding their operations in Morocco.

Last month, Air Arabia Maroc announced expanding its offerings in Morocco by launching new direct flights from its new airport base in Rabat linking the Moroccan capital to five international destinations.

Starting May 1, 2024, passengers can travel between the Rabat-Sale Airport and five European and Middle Eastern cities; Barcelona, Brussels, Basel, Paris, and Istanbul.
