AGRF 2021 Summit: Message from President Adesina

“Leaders Panel: The Great Debate”, 8 September 2021

Message from Dr Akinwumi A. Adesina, President, African Development Bank Group at the AGRF 2021 Summit.

About the Summit:

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Eleventh Annual Summit of the AGRF will be held virtually from 7-10 September 2021 and with a scaled down physical summit in Nairobi. Organized under the leadership of H.E. President Uhuru Kenyatta, the President of the Republic of Kenya, the will be co-hosted by the Government of Kenya and the AGRF Partners Group.

This year’s AGRF Summit theme, Pathways to Recovery and Resilient Food Systems, is closely aligned with the UN Food System Summit (UNFSS) to raise global awareness and catalyze momentum towards the commitments made.

The AGRF 2021 Summit is a defining moment in highlighting and unlocking the political, policy, and financial commitments and innovations the continent has made and that it continues to work towards achieving. It is about advancing the commitments made at the Malabo Heads of State Summit and working hard to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
