Rabat - Spanish aerospace supplier Aciturri Group has signed a partnership agreement with Midparc, a Moroccan industrial development company, to establish a new manufacturing facility in Morocco.

The agreement was signed in Casablanca on Wednesday in the presence of Moroccan Industry Minister Ryad Mezzour, Aciturri Group CEO Gines Clemente, and Midparc Chairman Hamid Benbrahim El Andaloussi.

Aciturri is one of the leading aerospace suppliers in Spain and the first to establish a presence in Morocco. In 2023, the company acquired GOAM Industrie, a MidParc-based company specializing in the machining of blades for aircraft engines (LEAP 1A/1B/1C and CFM56).

Since the acquisition, Aciturri has created 100 jobs at GOAM and plans to create an additional 50 jobs in 2024.

The project will help to transfer technology and develop skills in the Moroccan workforce. It will contribute to strengthening the national aeronautical industry, through the development of the engine parts ecosystem in Morocco

Mezzour said that the agreement is “a new success story” for the Midparc zone and that it represents “an important step forward in the strengthening of our aerospace industry.” He added that the agreement is in line with the government's strategy to develop the aerospace sector in Morocco.

Gines Clemente, CEO of the aeronautical group, said that Aciturri is “excited” to be investing in Morocco and that the country is “a strategic location” for the company. The investment will help Aciturri to “grow further internationally” and to “improve our competitiveness,” he added.

Midparc President, Benbrahim El Andaloussi, said that the agreement is a testament to the strength of Morocco’s aerospace industry and that it will help to “increase Moroccan integration” in the global aerospace supply chain.

The agreement is a significant development for Morocco's aerospace industry and is expected to boost the country's position as a leading supplier of aerospace components
